I agree with piano - it's the best part of the song. But I felt that something is missing. Maybe some more instruments, maybe more melodical use of the existing ones - can't really explain.
But good work, something calm at last

It's just the opener, though. The other tracks have recurring themes that are expanded. I see what you're saying about something missing, though. Maybe I need to turn one of the pads up a little bit.

It's almost everything that I like in this song. Maybe just some piano parts could be more "melodical" if I can say that. Very atmospheric song.

its a pretty old song, i just recognized that the piano is kinda weird so ifixed it, i just left enough space for a rapper thats way i kept the piano decent

Every 2nd song on Newgrounds is either trance or techno. This one was a pleasant surprise. Love the guitar parts.

I love the original.
This one sounds too electronic. You should change the velosity of the "piano" and bell. It will make the melody more natural.
But overall not bad.

I always try to get a more realistic sound and I can never figure it out. (ToT)
I think I did ok on Silent Haunting though. At the beginning, at least. (^_^)

I like the melody pretty much. Piano and strings sound nice together. In some moments piano is too sharp though.
But drums...
In my opinion they ruin everything. Especially kicks (there is some weird unsynth feeling when I hear pianos and kicks together).
If drums would be better implemended, I'd give it a 9.

thanks for your comment. i actually agree about the drums. i added them in as a metronome of sorts. i did mean to take them out but i obviously forgot.
